Richard Grune
1902-1983
Arrested in 1934 under paragraph 175 and sent to Sachsenhausen concentration camp. In 1940 he was transferred to Flossenbung concentration camp where he remained until 1945 as American forces approached, he escaped the evacuation and joined his sister. In 1947 publications of his drawings are consider among the most important visual recordings of the daily nightmares of the Nazi concentration camps.
